In an effort of Dubai to become a smart and sustainable city, efforts are put in place to support Dubai Plan 2021 and UAE Energy Plan 2050 which include the sustainable plans of the public transport system by introducing electric-powered bus. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has entrusted Asiana Kencana with its consortium members to ensure that the objectives are fulfilled. Smart Selangor Electric Bus Project
Towards Achieving the Smart State Vision by 2025 – Aligned with this vision, Asiana Kencana has been entrusted by the State Government to meet the objectives in the proposed use of electric buses in the Smart Selangor Free Bus service
The vehicle has been successfully demonstrated to the State Government in January 2019 and has since gotten the nod from the Chief Minister. Advanced features are equipped in these disabled-friendly vehicle which include facial recognition, gender, location detection and age group that facilitate bus owners building databases for se curity as well as for research purposes.
